Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga Ki Jaya ! Our Lady Radha /
Rosa Mystica, Shakti / Shekinah Ki Jaya !
Hare Krishna !
Please accept my humble obeisances.
Guru is one, through the causeless mercy of God we get guru, then through the intercession of guru we get Godhead. Lord Baladeva / Sankarshana, as the self-sacrificed cosmic Purusha 'yupa dhavja', is the original spiritual master in every universe. He ultimately "takes away the sins of the world" through his self-sacrifice on behalf of all fallen souls. Today, Easter, we celebrate his triumph over sin and death on behalf of all creation. The Vedic sacrifices, to atone for sin, were all commemorations of the once-and-all-sufficient intercessory cosmic self-sacrifice of the Rig Vedic Purusha (Purusha Sukta hymn). Let us contemplate today how Lord Baladeva as Purusha is the redeemer of the entire cosmic manifestation, and how as Jesus Christ he stepped into time to reveal his love for all of us, in taking away the sins of the whole world.
Purusha is called 'yupa dhvaja' because his eternal emblem (standard or flag-symbol) is the yupa stake or cross of his Vedic sacrifice, which destroys the sins of the world. Thus, intercessory sacrifices of atonement for sin, and the Vedic cross or yupa and its symbol, are found throughout the ancient world. Today, as one-and-a-half billion Christians celebrate Jesus / Purusha's ultimate triumph over sin and death, many will drape his empty cross / yupa with his cast-off shroud and shout 'Krista Anaste !', 'Christ is Risen ! Allelujah !, as they contemplate how through his love, all things have been, and will be finally reconciled to God.
The wage of sin is death, but in Christ / Guru, we have a redeemer both willing and able to pay the price of our manumission.
'For no greater love has any man than he who lays down his life for another.'
In Christ / Purusha, the original master and redeemer, God has accompanied us into our last estate. He has descended into death and the hells to rescue our souls from sin's eternal separation.
This is love, that God himself has personally come to rescue every one of us from our sinfulness, purifying us to take us back to home, back to Godhead !
So today we celebrate the reconciliation of all things past, present and future through, with and in the love of Godhead, in the mercy of guru ...who is one...who "taketh away the sins of the world".
Christ is Risen ! Allelujah !
May we all realize his infinite and causeless love for us, and learn to love him and each other in the same causeless, unconditional way.
A blessed Easter to you all dear ones.
